Alright our next relaxing, restorative pose for insomnia is marjariasana, which is cat pose, also known as a reclining twist, and it looks like this. You're just going to lay down on your back with both legs extended. From this position you're going to pull the right knee into the chest. Take it in your left hand. Inhale, extend through the crown of the head and all the way through those sits bones, and then, as you're ready you're going to rock that knee -oh, I've got to make a little adjustment- you're going to rock that knee over to the left, and see how far you got. And then, you're going to extend the right arm out behind you and look over your right shoulder at that hand. Inhale and exhale. See if you can drop the shoulder to the floor and the knee at the same time. When you're done here, after 1 to 3 minutes, just let yourself fall into this pose, and when you're done, inhale to bring that knee back up to the chest, switch sides gently, pull the left knee over and extend that arm out behind you. Again, 1 to 3 minutes, and when you're done just bring both knees into the chest. Give yourself a little rock, side to side, and prepare for your shavasana.
