Here to talk to you about ways to relieve constipation, which is when your bowel movements occur less frequently than usual or consist of hard, dry stools that are painful or difficult to pass. BO nd I'm Bob. Here to tell you how to relieve constipation in laymen's terms. Help you unclog the pipes, if you will, or, "drop the kids off at the pool," as they say. DR. JI o one says that. If you experience a change in normal bowel habits, be sure to increase your fiber intake and drink more water. BO ep, no better way to start your day than with a bran muffin and bowel movement. "BM squared" as I call it. DR. JI t also helps to include more vegetables, beans, bran, flaxseed, and whole grains in your diet to increase stool bulk. BO tool bulk. Hmm, and I'm the gross one? Dr. JI or more immediate relief you can try a bulk laxative. Take 5 to 10 grams of psyllium husk or 3 to 4 grams of glucomannan per day mixed in water, followed by a second full glass of water.
