Author of Transdermal Magnesium, Dr. Mark Sircus, on Magnesium Supplements

The problem for many years with trying to supplement orally is that there's only so much magnesium you can take orally without provoking diarrhea or loose stools. The different applications of magnesium really require high dosages. So, you’ve got a big limit. And also, it’s a very iffy thing trying to digest magnesium tablets. You have to have hydrochloric acid and not everybody is very strong in that, and then there are intestinal issues. So it’s not a guarantee. But if you put it on the skin -- just applying it to the skin like you would suntan lotion, or you put a couple of pounds in a bath, it goes right through the skin. So, you can put this on the body and combine it with touch, and you’re getting into an area, I call it "magnesium massage" -- magnesium medicine, magnesium massage... It's for me the best way of applying magnesium. I have six kids. I have six healthy kids, and one of the reasons is that I use magnesium. And what we do is we put it in the bath. We just simply put the magnesium flakes in the bath. We have little baths for our children, so you don’t have to use that much of it. But when they get sick it helps tremendously. They’re stronger; they come out of it quicker. And the bottom line is they don’t get sick very often. I found to my pleasant surprise in Europe that underneath, starting from England, going on into the Netherlands, and reaching all the way into Russia is an underground sea that has been down there for 250 million years. And they pump this stuff up, and it is as pure of a thing as you can find in this earth. Ancient Minerals is by far -- by far it’s in a class by itself.
