Speaker et's talk about naps. We're going for a total of two to three hours during the day made up in two or three naps. One of the big things that happens between eight and twelve months is that your baby may transition from three naps to two naps. The way this usually goes is that the third nap will get shorter all by itself so it's not something you have to take the lead on. You don't have to decide that it's time to drop that third nap. Your baby will just shorten and shorten and shorten that third nap and then you're going to see a pattern out of seven days, more often than not the baby will just refuse any sort of third nap no matter what you try. Even with motion, even with the car or stroller, the baby will not take a nap. When that happens you know it's time to shift to two naps.
