How to Treat Restless Legs Syndrome lothing Tips for Treating Restless Leg Syndrome



Hello my name is Dr. Susan Jewell and on behalf of Expert Village today I am going to talk to you today about how to recognize and treat a syndrome called Restless Leg Syndrome or EC Bone Syndrome. Now in this clip we are going to talk about the way that the clothes that you wear can maybe cause your Restless Leg Syndrome. When you wear clothes it is better to wear clothes that are loose so that it does not stretch or compress the blood flow to the lower legs. At night time specifically it is recommended that you wear loose pajamas or loose cotton underwear and so here I have some items that you should think about. When you are wearing underwear it is good to decrease the compression or restriction of blood flow to your legs by not wearing tight underwear. Make sure that you wear loose underwear and make sure that the fabric is fabric where your body breaths easily so cotton underwear or silk underwear and not the synthetic like polyester but cotton and silk and anything that is loose are good items to wear especially during the whole day and throughout the day. You want to reduce the compression and restriction of the blood flow to your legs. Also when you go to bed at night wear loose pants, here for example is a pair of very loose comfy shorts and cotton loose pajama bottoms is a good way to help keep the blood flow to your body and the lower extremities of your legs. That would help to reduce the onset of Restless Leg Syndrome.
